Well my auto trans in my 96 obs has ben goin bad for awile the o/d lights ben flashing for a very long time.And now i think its startin to go cus last night i was driving and the engine would rev up then slam back into gear again.So im gunna rip it out and throw a stick in it.my question is what will i need.whats the best manual trans i can get.and what year trucks will the tranys work from for mine.

 

well a directo bolt in would be a ZF5 from a 94- 97 7.3 power stroke. parts needed: trann, flywheel, clutch, PCM, either tcase, or a slip yoke. wiring harness. the auto harnes should plug in aroumd the fender. the key release, it just bolts down where the shift lever would on the column.
