As I hide my head in shame, I will say that it is Amethyst. When I was gettin ready to get the kind of truck I always wanted I had to make a deal with the devil. I got to pick the kind and she got to pick the color. She said Amethyst and I said what-ever. I didn't even know what the color was. I was figurin some kind of blue or green or somthing. Ordered the truck and it showed up, low and behold purple.

I've been very curious as well and received a lot of helpful info this past weekend @ the tulare drags. I signed up and I'm seriously think'n about becoming a dealer in my area, Amsoil that is.

That might actually be something I am interested in as well. Ive been looking for something I can do on the side. I think I am going to run amsoil in my rig from now on, at least in the diffs.

I'm actually going to be running my own lil test over the next year to year and a half. I have Amsoil HD/Marine 15w40 in the motor at the moment, plan to run Amsoil 5w40 Prem. Diesel Oil, Amsoil 15w40 Syn. Blend, Redline 15w40, and Royal Purple 15w40.
I have been using the Amsoil Severe Gear 75w140 in both diffs over the last 2 years and it's been doing a good job. Actually got the LSD to work after I put it in.

Would be hard to test them w/o pulling samples, wouldn't it?
Going to run the advertised change intervals Amsoil, Royal Purple, and Redline recommend.
Not looking for anything inparticular, just want to see what the analysis results turn up and compair them where possible. I already have acouple of base analysis to go off of running Rotella 15w40 for the previous 2 years.
