After the past couple years of shyrocketing crude, we are finally seeing a price reduction for the first time with the fall in crude. It's about a 6 month lag time for the end products to finally see relief. If we're lucky there may be more to come. This took affect March 1st and it ranges from 20 cents to 40 a qt.
Just an FYI for those who use it or are thinking about it.

Some may ask why does the price of crude effect synthetics the same as conventional? It's true group 4 and 5 synthetic basestocks do not come from the ground, but the chemicals to make them do, so they are effected just the same, mainly ethylene gas.
