"The" 2 Stroke Oil Thread
#271
I was having injector problems and that's when I started adding 2-stroke oil. It seemed to clear up the rough idle and white smoke problem. I only temporarily stopped using it so that I could finish off a case of Stanadyne, which I also love. After that, I'll be back to the oil. I didn't notice any M.P.G. improvement, though. That could just be the way I drive, though.

I have been using the 2 stroke oil in mine and definitely smoother! I'm looking for longevity, with the current available fuels it seems better to run lubricity of some kind. The 2 stroke oil is made to be burned with low smoke and keep outboards running under extreme conditions. Will keep using till I find a reason not to!!!!!

Those who had issues with stuff working its way loose due to the penetrating effect of the two stroke, where in the fuel system did you see that? I have a 85 6.2l and I've just started adding two stoke oil. Maybe it's just a coincidence, but the last couple days I've found a few bolts/nuts on the street where I normally park the truck. Of course it's always after I come back/move so I can't really just look up, but haven't noticed any glaring empty bolt holes/things falling off yet... could be from another car too, but most likely not...

I think those nuts/bolts fell out of my truck... not sure what they're related to... could be could be coincidence, could be the two stroke oil loosening stuff up? Not really sure... probably will have to wait until either a) something falls off the truck/starts hanging down or b)i'm working in the area those were from and notice an empty bolt hole...
