I have used almost everything under the sun. First was Duralt, then probably PowerService, then Lucas, Then Marvel Mystery Oil, then 2 stroke oil, then I don't remember what. I used Powerservice again for awhile and now I use something called 4+ Premium.. It costs 20.00 and treats 564 gal or something like that. I have 273,XXX miles on it and I am on original VP. 3rd set if injectors (first and second ones were not worn out).
If I can get 2 stroke oil significantly cheaper, I would use that again, because it definitely runs quieter than without an additive. This 4+ Premium also makes it quite quiet.

Well I got to admit I'm still using 2 cycle oil and I've seen awesome improvements. Quietier engine less knocking, improvement in fuel mileage, and I know every bit of my fuel system is lubricated.

Now as far quantity of oil to use. It simple to figure out. I've been using 1 oz for every 1 gallon of fuel. Or if you fill up from near empty then dump in a full quart (32 ounces).

As for my past discussions of this... I've had made of page full of information on the 2 cycle oil and other products. Never the less I did
finally **** off a company. Believe it or not I pissed off PowerService. So I hit a nerve with that one and ended up pulling my web page.

But my 2 cycle oil research still continues. I will be soon building a new personal web page with all new updated information.

Wat brand oil are u using

i run diesel kleen in my fuel. i would like to add more lubricity for the fuel pumps sake, being it is a 1997 5.9 with 236,xxx miles i just had pump work and shaved fuel plate and 4k springs put in. i see there are allot of different opinions about running 2cycle oil as to what it does for the fuel system. has the fuel changed that much since this post was created that we should be thinking about more fuel additives, or is it that these companys that make the stuff are trying to scare diesel owners into thinking they need there additives to help prolong the life of our engines fuel system.

Ive used Supertech 2 stroke tcw-3 oil in my CTD for roughly 111k miles, with no negative issues. My engine runs way smoother and quieter, plus a small boost in fuel mileage. I even use it in my diesel power generator that I use to power my travel trailer, while boon-dockin. Ive even mixed PS with the 2 stroke, but didnt notice anything different as using 2 stroke alone. Just an experiment.

My sis light would come on when holding same speed very long if I let off pedal or gave it more throttle it would go out.1/2 once or less 2 cycle per gal. Within 5 miles light has never come on again.

I've been using 2so in my touareg for about 2-1/2 years now with great success.

I'll be using it in the dmax as well once she arrives.

Like most posted the touareg is quieter and got a slight bump in mpg

I run it in my '07 5.9 CTD. Runs smoother and quieter. Mpg increase too. I average 20mpg a tank.

simply increases the mileage but may decrease the ignition of the vehicle
