"The" 2 Stroke Oil Thread
Now it's official:
German military uses 2-stroke oil to add missing lubricity when they use jet fuel instead of Diesel to prevent injector and pump fail.
I got an order in my hand that 2-stroke oil is to use in a mixture of 1:100 when using pure Jet fuel JP8 to add missing lubricants.
As a result of that it is absolut safe to use 2-stroke oil as an add on in Diesel. A mixture of 1:200 is sufficient for Diesel.
German military is testing everything for years and years.
In my personal opinion its absolut safe to use 2-stroke oil. German military labs are very strict on testing.
It makes me confiedent to trust in the abilities and use of 2 stroke oil. I hope this helps others too.

Maybe its interesting to know that with an 1:150 mixture the engine starts to develop smoke. Lubing abilities do not decrease. no measurable wear on pump and injectors.
At a mixture of 1:200 is no smoke measureable and lubing abilities remain stable.
No measureable wear on pump and injectors.
So why waste oil?
But have in mind fuel at the gas station has 7% bio in the regular Diesel. Or as an alternative you can choose 100% Biodiesel in Germany.
Sulphur is also extrem reduded, but a bit higher than in the US.

if your using a 1:200 ratio then you can multiply the ammount of gallons you put in by 0.64
so then one gal you would need 0.64oz of 2 stroke oil
5 gal = 3.2oz
10 gal = 6.4oz
15 gal = 9.6oz
20 gal = 12.8oz
25 gal = 16oz
30 gal = 19.2oz
35 gal = 22.4oz

Going metric!

1:200 - a 1L bottle of TCW-3 oil to 200L of fuel, or 500mL to 100L fuel...easy! The bottles here have grade in mL on the side so I don't even need to measure it out...just use the gauge on the bottle.
blah blah blah
