lighter weight oil = better MPG???
Guess I was incorrect.......tailgate up is actually better.
Didn't you watch the video? Only one truck this time. SEMA is where they are trying to sell something.
here is one that may scare some
running without the fan...
currently for the past 3 weeks i have been running with may cooling fan sitting on my back seat. i have only just got my odometer working again a few days ago so i dont know the actual improvements yet.
what i do know is that i got three more days out of my tank. i have a very routine rout that i take to and from work. it used to be that i would fill up about every two weeks. the last tank gave me two weeks + 3 more days. new odometer tells me this is 75 more miles.
i will have to run this for a few more weeks to see what it comes out to.
now i know some of you are thinking "you must be nuts, running with out your cooling fan" but i assure you that this is safe under the right conditions
i rarely tow or haul loads, this is my DD. the temps have never exceeded 190 degrees. even when idling in traffic. i dont know if this will still hold true in the summer but with the fan within arms reach and easy to install, i will run this for a bit longer to see the results
so far i love how much quieter the engine sounds with out that thing whipping up all of that air under the hood.

That'll help AC operate in stop and go traffic. Of course, going without AC might help mileage, but some places you don’t want to show up sweaty and smelly.

Sit up against the tailgate while somebody is doing 80 down the interstete and then tell me about your myth
