When i first started putting two stroke oil into my diesel I was using Evinrude XD oil. It was what i had leftover from fishing season. Last week i ran out and purchased a gallon of wal-marts super tech two stroke oil. The first thing i noticed was how thin it was. Its thinner than water! I have also noticed better results with the Evinrude XD oil. Has anyone else ever noticed this? The Evinrude XD and Yamaha two stroke oils are about $20 gallon where as the super tech is $12.

 

was it the supertech out board 2 stroke oil or the super tech universal 2 stroke oil?

 

It is the outboard oil.

 

SuperTech in the blue bottle with TC-3w(those are the letters and numbers) that you need. It is thin, but it works well for what we need it for.

 

yup i use same stuff in my truck, a ounce per gal. gives you a 128:1 ratio, noticed that it smokes a hair bit more while idling, could be the damn pump, i think i got a plunger and barrel assy. that isn't happy.

What are the benifits of putting oil in your fuel? Can it hurt anything?

 

Its lubes your pump,injectors,and cuts friction in the top end giving you higher MPGs.
Its good on engines built for regular diesel fuel.However these new diesels built for this low sulpher fuels,and power robbing smog devices need a clean fuel.You can mess up your smog equipment.
