Filled up for 3.92 yesterday. About 20mpg, 90% city driving, maybe a mile of highway between here and town. Not bad, but not my best either.

Hi all you guys out there. I am new to the site and I hope this is going to work.
Diesel here is around $ 1.30 per liter or converted 3.9 liter to us gallon works out to about $ 5.00 per gallon. My reason for wanting to transplant an engine

Question to Eastern Aggie - what is it like to have a diesel in the truck.
I want to put a cummins 5.9 in my 1979 F150.

 

he gets about 20mpg in town

 

Yup 20 mpg with the Cummins

 

even though it being a 1/2 ton helps
