Anyone Ever Use zMax??

This stuff makes allot of claims about how it "Soaks into metal" and helps lubricate...

Thought this would be interesting if it could "soak in" and help lubricate the injection pump among other things...

So, anyone ever give it a shot in the fuel or in the oil?

Ive been curious myself. :humm:

Thats an interesting idea.

Save your money and if your worried about injector pump lubrication buy some 2 stroke TCW-3 oil.

Well I dont know if it works or not but they have advertisement everywhere and all the shows I have seen it on shows them putting some on a solid metal piece and then some of the "oil" on a carbon chunk. the carbon gets completely dissolved and the metal piece looks like a paper towel that is getting wet in the middle. Like the metal is just soaking it up.

so I would be willing to try it. but I dont really know if I am willing to pay for it.

Hmmm.. LoL I may have to give it a shot myself then! Its 35$ so i may give it a shot... Im going to check on their site to see what details it gives on diesel use! :choochoo:

I think I would run the stuff your supposed to put in the oil. I dont know about the fuel stuff.

Dr. Evil 01-23-2010 11:37 AM

I would not put this with fuel - because it will be some sort of synthetic and isnt meant to be burned its meant to treat the engine oil.

DieselWeasel 01-23-2010 11:49 AM

There are separate bottles in the kit... One for fuel, one for oil and one for trans.

there is also one for power steering. Now that I went to their site I really want to try it in my 195k mi. Bronco. I mean it cant hurt anything too bad

Seems like every few years we get a flood of new products that make new claims. I remember the additives that were supposed to Teflon coat your engine parts, then it was porcelain coat the engine and on and on.
