veggie in a 7.3L idi
hi all i got a 1991 f250 with the 7.3 non- turbo in it and was wondering about a veggie system for it. my buddy is doin it with a 97 with turbo and i was wondering if it would be ok with mine? i would filter down to 5 microns. thanks. any ideas?
I run veggie in my turbo diesel mercedes filter to 1 micron i mix it with different things to get it to run right ends up costing 90 cents a gallon but make sure its not hydrogenated oil or you will be cleaning lines like crazy and replacing fuel filters
IDIs are the best engine to run veggie. You can run up to 25% with no heat. The simpless setups for over 25% are at fattywagons.com.
But really think about flushing your truck with diesel at shut down.Perfect if your truck has 2 tanks.
Studies have been done on diesels ,and they found out if you mix at least 30% diesel in your veg.
No long term damage, besides easier to pump.
