thoughts on running 50/50 diesel/SVO blend on unconverted truck?
I got a 1985 Chevrolet K10 with a V8 6.2 liter engine. I'm moving in a few days and haven't gotten around to converting my truck to run on SVO. I've done some research and asked around and I'm planning on making the trip (about 700 miles) on a 50/50 blend of diesel and very very filtered veggie oil. What would be a good additive? Kerosene? Diesel Kleen? I'm going to make the drive in one day, hopefully in temperatures around 80 and not below 70 and I'm gonna keep some extra fuel filters on hand. Any thoughts?

I've been running veggy oil blends for about 3 years in my old 87 ford diesel with a 6.9L. I'm sure your fuel system is quite similar.
50/50 is a safe blend. You can go even more 3-1, 4-1 as long as you're not trying to cold start on this blend. But play it safe when you are not aroound home...
