Haven't heard of any "diesel racing fuel"... but if there is it probably doesn't give much advantage... just #2 with a few additives . If you think the fuel is better the fuel will most likely be better to you. Kind of like your mind controls what you see, feel, hear, etc...

Yes, there is such a thing - seen the barrels of it sitting next to the rails inside their trailers... it does make a difference. Kinda $$$ though!

For the ambitious Hill Jack, a 10-15% load of nitro makes a noticable power increase.

Diesel is diesel, I could see maybe using a cleaner fuel, with less particles in it or something for racing or super high output engines but if a 3000hp v16 cummins can run on the same fuel I get out of the pump then i don't really see the need for anything better, though I will admit I buy premium diesel whenever possible, it's only 3 cents more and whether or not it makes a difference or not I don't know but it can't hurt anything

Hmmm... The funny part of diesel is the higher the cetane the lower the BTU's...

Here is a example of Idaho fuels... (Summer and winter)

Less BTU's the less HP/TQ produced... Just for a fun fact gasoline is right aroung 120K BTU's...

One of the key features why in the winter time my MPG drop in the toilet and during the summer time they rises again... The summer lower cetane fuel has more BTU's...
