Heating Times And Temps
For those making their own Bio, if you would, please tell me your heating times, temps, size of your processor, and wattage of your heating elements.
I am in the final steps of designing my system, and would like to get some real world numbers to help me decide on final designs for heating.
Thanks in advance for any input.

I do not have one yet, but the first design plan is using two 55 gallon drums welded end to end to make a 110 gallon reactor. The same setup for the dry wash tank. Both will be modified into a cone bottomed tank. I will heat through a heat exchanger that I will build based upon the info I get from here and other sites. after dry washing with Magnesol, I will filter into a 330 gallon IBC storage tote through a series of bag filters, final filtering through a 1 micron filter.

I was usually heating my oil to at least 140 before I started my reactions I never measured the temp after that. I use a band heater for a metal drum but I don't think it is the best solution it is causing a hot spot so I a looking for something new I hope to have my setup back and running by the end of June
