Check out this forum. Hydrogen Generator :: View topic - MPG GAINED... Look at Hydrotech's posts. He is getting amazing results with a hydrogen cell. I have been digging deep into this site and have found some very interesting information. The only problem is that carburated vehicles have a lot more potential that our newer ones.

no i think the newer cars would have more potential but you have to tune the car right to get that potential. it is just like when the new diesels came out and everyone was afraid of the electronics but once figured out it is easy to do so they just have to figure out how to tune for it.

 

I agree, I just put it in print wrong. For the average consumer right now it will be harder, but once some aftermarket guru's start getting into it..... I can see good things in the future. I just hope I am bright enough to figure something out on my rigs.

Hi,

Just signed on here and saw this post about hydrogen for fuel. I'm not a dealer, but I have built several of these hydrogen generators for myself and friends. I have one installed on my 1999 Ram 3500 Cummins and it works great! I have a Scan Gauge on order so I don't know my exact MPG but I thinking I'm getting about 26 right now.

On the problem side, I also installed one on my son's 2003 Powerstroke, but he is showing NO increase in MPG. I know being a diesel it still has a "computer", but does anyone know if, and how, I need to reset the computer to start showing the correct mileage?

Hand calculating is the only way to be precise.

hey firejoe....you could always fill up your tank, write down mileage, when you fill up again, divide mileage by gallons.........

 

I think with the 03 PS, you have to disconnect both batteries for about 3 minutes or so.

 

I thought this had some potential. Construction looks easy and in my truck I have plenty of room. Would it work? By seperating the water into 2 gases, hydrogen & O2, and allowing it to mix with the incoming intake air, chemically I would have more "potential energy/bond". But first I would have to find a way to regulate the reaction, pass it by the turbo, and then stop the chemical reaction from eating up every metal/steel part it comes to contact with.

Hydrogen embrittlement would ruin my engine? Maybe I will try this with the wifes car frst.

 

I have built one of these 1/2 water 1/2 gas hydrogen generators! It does produce the hydrogen gas in the enclosed cell pretty well. The problem I am having is in the installation. I am supposed to run a hose from the generator to a vaccuum line like the PCV. The purpose is to draw the hydrogen from the cell into the engine. I am not sure where this should be. I have an 06 LLY duramax engine in a GMC Topkick. Where would be the best location to introduce this hydrogen gas to the system? Any suggestions?
