Moved to the alternative fuels section... Plenty of info here, just have to look around...

There are a lot more recorded miles on WVO and bio-d than there is with WMO. Not to say it can't be done but I'm guessing you'll find a lot more useable info on the others.

I'm a WVO user, running a modified vegistroke kit. There are a few guys who have convertered their older 7.3's. There is a system for the 7.3 in the super duties, but not a direct kit for your truck. One can be adapted relatively easy though, the biggest thing on the older 7.3 powerstrokes is putting the electric superduty pump on it.

You can check out WVO Diesel Conversion | SVO Grease Conversion | Ford Vegistroke Powerstroke | Biodiesel Conversion for more info on the vegistroke systems.

Ultimately you're going to want to go with what makes the most sense for you and what saves you the most money.

Do you know if you have access to used WVO in your area? It's getting harder and harder to get without paying for it... How will you filter? I would highly suggest looking for a way to filter before doing anything else. You will need to filter for any of the fuel options you choose, so that's a good place to start. I have a detailed post on my filtration setup for my WVO in the sticky section in the alt fuels area. I use what is called a "frybrid still." I've had good luck with it.
