We got a john deere 4955 tractor on our farm and the radio quit working the other day. The whole thing just went dead and the fuse is fine. I was wondering if there was any websites you guys know of to get a new radio at or one that is cheaper than john deere. Then i had another question and that is, those speakers in those tractors, can the covers just pop off or do you have to take the whole top off to get to them, the reason is i think there is a wire lose cause sometimes one speakers shuts off. I can not help you with the speaker issue, but if you take out the radio and see how many wires or what kind of plug there might be on the what it has now, and find out if there is a car that has a match to it via the internet. If so go to your local junkyard and get that one, and there you go!

Also, if you just want something temporary, you can get a mini cd player/radio like this one: Coby CDRA147 Digital AM FM Dual Alarm Clock - Walmart.com If you get that, you can either wire it into the battery, or get an AC/DC converter that goes into the cigarette lighter or power outlet like this one: I know this is not quite what you meant, but if you do not care about looks or just want something temporary, then this will probably suffice.
