Hey. I don't know anything about tractors but I just pulled and bought a stack and downpipe off a Massey Ferguson 760 combine for $25. I don't know what year it was or what engine but I want to know if there is any way I can pull the turbo and make it work on my truck? I'm pretty sure it would need rebuilt, but I was able to spin the turbine wheel. It did spin fairly easily. I couldn't see the compressor wheel but the thing as a whole looked to be in pretty good shape. I'll link the craigslist ad where I came across them so you can see pics of the tractors. I pulled the pipe on the one in the first picture.

I see those at farm auctions from time to time. The ones I saw had perkins 6.359 engines in them. I think the turbo is about the same size as a non i/c cummins.

 

It will have a perkins engine, I have my doubts about that turbo on your truck, try and get some sort of Id numbers off if it , see what it is , and go from there, with a little time and fab work , it might just work if it is sized right.

 

I figured I'd remote mount it. I'll have to see if I can make another trip out there. Its about an hour away.
