Have a few Volvo's, gas and diesel, 1 Porsche diesel, few nuffields and a couple of bukh's, one is a 302 the other a 403, yes live in Mississippi.
Used to tractor pull the 403, won every time, has a 500 lb fly wheel 3 cyl diesel |
Interesting. That is pretty strong for a 3cylinder.Salute to Ford Tractors.

Does that NH tractor ever wheel hop on ya to much due to the short wheelbase? I had a JD 7810 that would do it like crazy with the MFWD engaged...with just a normal load. What gives?

Well yeah its loaded with weights on the front, it came that way. I just think its poor design on Deere's part. It was a fold out disk that makes it power hop. If it had a loader on it, I doubt it would do it. Dont get me wrong I love the JD, especially the 8000 series tractors, but I think they screwed up the 7000 series.

Well Deere is notorious for that.Hell Ford tractors are way better and I own both so I know. The JD 4020 is near useless especially with a narrow front.

I'll take anything you guys want to give me. lol I have a bunch of tractors for the farm. Biggest is a Steiger PT350, one has a 903 Cummins V-8, the other (Its actually a Tiger) has the Big Cam 855. Both run 20.8R38 Goodyears... 8 of them to each tractor. I have to replace the alternator in the Panther this week, and charge up the AC.
Our smaller tractors are old JD's, and a couple fairly new (less than 5 years old) New Hollands. I gotta say, i could spend all day in the cab of our New Holland, its comfy as hell, and I can jam out to the radio while I'm cutting hay. |
I know what you mean the Ford Tw15 Series II has an nice cab to.I love that tractor lots of power and comfortability.

Yeah, the Steigers are alright, nice seat and A/C and a decent stereo, but all the wall panels are shot, its still fairly noisy (Really noisy, but compared to the NH, JD, or Case, its quite a bit louder), and everything is just old. Its funny, I'll be in the Steiger all day, get out and go grab a load of fill or something with the big CAT 972H and its like a Lexus. Nice cushy seat, quiet, A/C, super responsive steering (Its 1/2 turn lock to lock), crystal clear radio with Sirius, digital readouts for bucket load, engine parameters, all sorts of goodies. Its just odd getting into the "New" New Holland and thinking how tiny and rough it is after getting out of the CAT. And going from the CAT to the Steiger is like going back in time!
