Default Wanting to muffle a Steiger.

I have a Steiger st310 Panter 3 that I want to put a muffler on. I thought about one off of a semi but it was too tall. I think one like a 9180 would have will work, but they are like $600.00. If anyone has any ideas what I could use please let me know.

First off, Why? Its a Steiger... Its supposed to be loud! I have a PT350 Panther with the 903 Cummins V8, and you can hear the thing for miles when I open it up. But the exhaust is higher than the cab, so I don't hear much of it.

Second, where do you plan on putting said muffler? I'm betting you have the 855, which means the exhaust dumps out of the turbo and straight into the stack... Your only option is to cut the stack and weld in a Donaldson. Personally I think you're better off leaving it alone unless your neighbors are filing complaints, even if they are, you have the right to farm. NYS just enacted the Right to Farm law, which says that no matter what your doing, as long as its for the farm they can complain all they want but they can't do anything. Stink it up, blow **** up, whatever, you're safe here if you're in a Right to Farm community. About the only law I like in NY.
