well since the paint is chipping a lot and it is 49 years old i would say about 4 thousand or a little less. take away all the equipment on it and just left the bare tractor it would sell around here for about 750 or 1000 dollars if it is running good. off hand i dont know how muck a loader and backhoe cost so figure that out and you should have the price.

this is what the last email said
going to have the backhoe seals replaced as well as one rear wheel seal. converting the electrical tomorrow. new radiator thats why the cover is off. i'll take 4500 after i paint it i'll want much more.
i found it on Craigs list. it's in my own town figured i might be able to check it out any time. the price does seem a little steep.
if he's open to offers what do you guys suggest?
given he just gave it a tune up i assume it wasn't running and might be now??

With the paint in that shape that means it's spent most if not all of it's life sittin outside. This ain't a good thing for gasser tractors cause they're not sealed up like a car or truck and water and ice get into all the the parts and pieces. Personally I wouldn't touch it. You can buy the backhoe attachments on any given day for $700-$1500 depending on how long the reach is and tight everything is on them. Attach it to a diesel tractor for the extra torque it needs to dig and have twice the tractor your lookin at there for the same price. The market for these things is pretty dead right now because of the season and the economy so everythings pretty easy to come by for the right price.
A gasser this old is long past it's expected life. The exception to this is if it's a restored classic and i don't think this applies here.
