I never really noticed that problem locally but I also mix gas line antifreeze in with the two stroke oil before adding it to my jerry can. I buy case lots in the winter because my truck sits out in the wind in my yard in dead of winter(-45*C or below with windchill at night most times) and it seems to make my echo's and my poulan pro run smoother.

I'm ready to wrap mine around a fence post. It's just one thing after the another with it. When it runs it works great. Went through all this stuff that this thread was originally started for and got it runnin. It ran for a little while and then the primer bulb cracked and sprayed fuel. Fixxed that then the choke lever broke off, the little plastic stem that it hold onto snapped so I had to fix that. Then it ran great for a while and now this wantin to idle thing comes up.

Finally got around to taken this thing to a real shop. They pulled it apart while I stood there and showed me everything they were doin. Apparently the problem with most all of these two stroke motors is the new fuel. According to this shop anyway the old black fuel lines and the seals in the carb don't hold up to the new ethanol content in the fuel. So all that had to be replaced with some new green colored tubing and seals and now they say I shouldn't have any more problems.

Just thought I'd throw this out there for anybody else fightin these problems.

yeh i work at a john deere/stihl/boss/western/kawasaki dealer and when get at least 2 or 3 of the same problems a week... the carbs arent desgined to take all the ethonal that comes in gas... the parts are cheap... but we charge 75 n hour for labor.. which is where they give you the shaft ..... i think that 75 n hour is kinda up there... but im not the boss...

Guess I got lucky then, they just charged me a few bucks for the parts.
