Ok you need Fleet Air Filter 6637 cost is around 30 bucks from fleet filter.com
You need about 6 4 inch hose clamps you can get them from your local hardware store. You will need a piece of 4 inch pvc or abs plastic pipe. Ok what you do is remove the air filter box. Then usuing the stock flexible air intake tube. You clamp the piece of pipe to it. Then you clamp the filter to the other end of the pipe. Now your done. Some people drill a hole for the air filter restricition gauge in the filter and install it. I just ziptied mine so it would not flop around. Also you may want to make a bracket to secure the air filter so it will not flop around inside the engine compartment. I used a shilving L bracket for this. I have had no problems with this intake at all yet. Total cost is around 60 bucks plus your time. You can get fancy with it, get some 4 inch exhaust tube, buy an intake tube for a cold air intake kit. That is all up to you. But this is an effective economical way to provide your truck with more air.

Nothing really -- unless you build a shroud for it...

but, if you look at the stock intake, it is soooo restrictive, that the DIY is an improvement, even if you receive some ambient air into the intake...

just do the zoodad to open up the shroud and that will let some more cooler air in directly from the front of your truck... I GUARANTEE you will see a difference over a stock intake
