I agree with csipsd, is your truck an early 99 or 99.5? Do you know what pcm code the chip is for, and is it just a basic ts chip im guessing?

Late or E 99 will be fine, could be as simple as the shift pressures being too high.

do you mean if the shift pressure is to high it could be setting the codes? it does give me a pretty good slam from 1st to 2nd. i have to drive 5 hours north for work next monday, should i remove it and will i be ok to drive on 50 and deal with the chip when i get back and see whatelse i can find out in the mean time? also will my stock tranny hold up on the 50hp setting? i drive real gentle i just wanted the 50 for passing and hills

---AutoMerged DoublePost---

is there a way to monitor shift pressure with AE

I was thinking the no power may come from the chip being for 99.5 up and his truck has single shots...but if its fine except on stock so thats probably not the problem

I will be home from work in about a half hour and i will post the DTC's to see if they can give any more indications. Fourwheelrevolver i will check the packaging when i get home to see if it says what year vehicle it is for, that is a very real possibility because i dont remember if i told him it was a E99

ALL superdutys have split shots... Only if the chip was tuned for an OBS would it be for single shots. And it would not cause a lack of power.

I cant tell you anything else without a list of the codes...
