Default Engine Compartment Fuse Box and upgrade advice

Anyone know why an engine compartment fuse box would be moved? I see relays and harness' but the box itself is not where it should be.

Also what are some upgrades that would be a good investment on a budget? I have a 2003 F-250 Super Duty with the 7.3L. It already has a lift and 35's on it. Looking for some performance upgrades but there are so many options out there that I honestly don't know what would be worth putting in the truck.

not sure on the fuse box. but for mods, intake, exhaust, gauges, and a TS style chip.

Take a picture, where is the box? It should be between the air filter and fire wall. However keep in mind the 2002 my has most of the fuses and such inside the cab, there is just a few relays under the hood.
