does anyone know the pros and cons on the 1999 7.3L with a banks turbo?

 

It means the engine was abused trying to get more power and now they are passing their problems on to you.

 

No it doesn't... There is nothing wrong with adding a banks turbo...

Your going to need to be more specific...IIRC banks doesn't make a drop in turbo for the 7.3.

They do make an exhaust housing, wicked wheel and Wastegate Actuator...

Did you see something that looked like this:


If so you have a "big head" Wastegate Actuator..most likely the prior owner had one of the power packs or whatever they call it. Bank's hard parts actually aren't bad....the tuning makes me want to vomit.

Are you looking at a truck with one or did you buy a truck with one or....?

 

As said above, Banks doesnt make a turbo, they make an exhaust housing and WG rod...

Nothing wrong with the products, just WAY over priced for what you get. Good pieces.
