All this talk about trans has me wondering, How many of you guys had your trans rebuilt at a local shop? how many miles on it? price? How much hp are you making? anyone running over 500hp with a local built trans? How is it holding up?

Wait for joe to tell you about a local trans shop build. If I wanted 500hp I would go strait to a builder like BTS or JW.

Then you do, and they charge you to fix it... and then you do again, and they charge you again...

I had a local tranny shop rebuild mine about a year ago because they could do it right away, and at that time BTS was a 3 month wait. So far I couldn't be happier with the job they did. Got a price from Twisted diesel today, $3,650 I didn't think that was bad. I'm wondering if I should sell my trans and buy one from Twisted diesel, I chose to give them a call because I've always heard good things about them. Or should I just wait till mine breaks, then worry about it? I really can't have the truck down for much more than a few days though. This local guy built it, and if its holding up to my estimated 585hp, i'm pretty impressed. No I didn't estimate that hp number, Unlimited Diesel did.

I knew that was coming,
Intake, exhaust, banks chip, and banks stickers on the rear window

238cc/200 injectors, 74mm s300 turbo, beans tunes, full fuel system, hpop, head studs, shimmed valve springs, push rods, dual fuel pumps, just the basics

Gen 3

585 may just be a tad high, but I think there is just about enough fuel to get me there. I talked to Matt about it, he said 238/100 can just about make 550, and with my 200% nozzles it should get me pretty close if everything else is perfect. Did a compression test on the motor, all over 420 so the motor is in real good shape
