Aluminum transfers heat better then steel... 99.9% of your intercoolers will be Aluminum cores with plastic or aluminum end tanks.

Is there a significant volume difference between the Diesel Power 6.0 IC and the Hypermax IC?

Hypermax is the proven leader period. Anyone who argues that point needs to be hit on the head with a tack hammer because they are a retard (Tommy Boy)

But it is the best period... Its also the most expensive by about 50%.

Does anyone know if the flow rate on the Diesel Power 6.0 IC is comparable to the Hypermax IC?

I guess what I am going to look at is the cost/cfm of flow for each IC and decide from there based on reputation and reliability...although I can't imagine much going wrong with and IC!

Thanks Joe, I can appreciate your value in the qualitative aspects of Hypermax.

But it is the best period... Its also the most expensive by about 50%.
I don't doubt that the Hypermax is the best...clear choice if $ wasn't a factor, I am more interested in quantitative equality in flow rate!

The hypermax is the largest best cooling on the market.

Blowing end tanks out sucks...

But you will not have that issue until over 40-50psi... I am running a stock plastic end tanked 6.0 IC at 55psi... No bad juju yet.

I would assume that if the flow rate increases with a new IC, I might see some drop in Boost?

Kind of like increasing the diameter of the water hose, less constriction equals less pressure!

Darrin, call up Diesel Power PRoducts. IMO i dont think you can go wrong with it. It is the same size a Banks 6.0 IC, which Greg has on his truck and hasnt had any issues. I have his old DPP 6.0 and it works great
