ok i got a bet going on
i work with a know it all, and its getting a bit annoying. anyways we were talking about my E99 truck, and he thinks that the turbo back exhaust (4" downpipe, 4" straightpipe to 5" stacks) and diy intake (full 4" mandrel bent tubing and donaldson filter) should add about 60 hp and 120 torque. i think he is not only wrong but a complete moron. i was thinking more along the lines of 25-35hp and 50-75 torque.. am i right or is he or are we both way off?
any help is appreciated.

really? no real power gains huh? I'm not trying to be a dick, i'm trying to figure this out correctly. Removing all air and exhaust restrictions wont gain anything?
I know this is not the same but i gained 23 rwhp on my former Chrysler 300c with the 5.7Hemi with an Airhammer Intake, and a full 3" headers back exhaust (yes it was dyno'd before and after). So on a diesel allowing it to breath won't gain me at least that?
*EDIT* I forgot to mention it was running Diablosport Predator tunes before and after the mods
and yes a TS chip is coming for it... I understand I will reap more of a benefit then...
