Default injectors

i removed all 8 injectors on my truck today because im getting new ones, but i knoticed all 8 injectors are AD code i thought the 8th cylinder was suposed to be an AE code injector, what effect does this have on my motor with them all being AD code

Nothing to worry about. The AE was introduced into the #8 cylinder to help reduce cackle. You are fine.

yeah what he said, nothin to worry about, just something they did to try and cut down on the diesel chatter

When I pulled all mine, they were AD's (an E-99 had AB's) except #8 which was an AB.

In that case, either it was truly an AB which would have injected a little less fuel than all your AD's...OR somebody replaced it with a rebuilt AD injector with an AB solenoid on it.

ok cool just wondering, i got all the injectors in and the motor all togather, but its still blowing blue/grey smoke out the tail pipe, when i took the turbo pipes off there was a bit of oil sitting in the pipes, im pretty sure the seals in the turbo are shot, would that be the reason for the smoke?

2 days ago. but it was smoking like that b4 i replaced the injectors. and the truck still has a miss,
