Default idm swap ??????

i have a early 99 that has been moded and i am looking to upgrade the idm since that is one of the weak points in the early 99 compared to the later years. i hear it is pretty straight forward. is it a plug and play deal or do i need a moded one since i have heard talk about modding them? is it located under my dash? will it work with my cts programmer? thanks to anyone who can help me out on this topic.

never heard of swamps. is there a website or anything to get further information on it as far as price and product? and it should be as simple as plug and play?

IDM is inside the inner fender well on the Superdutys, its a bit of a bear to get to.

If you were going to do a IDM, I would get the swamps one as well. Its more of a tuned IDM then just a modded one.

hey I am having a stalling issue. I have changed the cps several diffrent times in the same day no diffrence. I have changed the leaking ICP sensor. I have removed the edge juice box. It lopes at a cold startup for like 20 secs, then runs normal untill you give it WOT then it acts like its starving for fuel and cuts out intermitantly, It comes in with white smoke. When it rains hard and I drive in it it really cuts out stalling even at an idle or any throttle position.

So from what I can tell it looks like the IDM is going south. have any of you had to replace one if so how did your act? or did you just do the upgrade for the smoothness?

By the way the truck is an 01 X 7.3 auto with intake exhaust and old edge juice with 3 way switch.
