Tony Wildman Chip
Ya i just purchased a tony wildman chip today and its being shippd to me and i was wondering how hard it was to put one of them on. I was just wanting a heads up on it before i get it in. Let me know
its easy... just unhook the batteries and dont leave the key in the ignition FIRST.
1. Under the hood, unscrew the plug and unplug in from the back of the ecu. 10mm bolt i believe.
2. in the cab, unscrew the plastic housing around the ecu, then slide it out. 7mm?
3. the ecu has 6 bolts on it. unscrew them and carefully remove the silicone or of the the area where the chip plugs in. you need to make sure that you have all of the silicone off so it will make a connection, but then again, there is no need to get after it with a sand blaster. remove the plastic piece from the ecu housing. then put it all back to gether and go back in the truck with it. dont hold me to the bolt sizes, cuz i just start grabbing one untill it fits, but they will b metric
someone correct me if i missed something
