Default fuel in coolant

I have a 2000 powerstroke and im getting fuel in the coolant im going to replace all the injector orings and the sleeves, would bad orings and sleeves cause my engine to overheat?

Most likely bad injector cups. You will need a special tool to do this. CSIPSD just did this on his truck this weekend i believe. maybe he will chime in soon.

i agree with diezel dawg my dad just had his injector cups replaced because of fuel in the coolant

Also, since u will be pulling the injectors, u might as well replace the oring on the injectors and maybe go ahead and do new Glow plugs if u have a lot of miles on it.

I,ve replaced the glow plugs last winter but i,ve had an overheating problem for a couple of years now started out only when towing now its all the time plus fuel in the coolant needless to say it just sits now until i can fix this problem, as far as the tool i saw a site were this guy made one and now hes saling them for around 450 i,l just make my own, i,m still worried about this overheating problem is it the orings or sleeves?

The fuel in the coolant could be causing the overheating, depending how long the fuel has been getting in there and how much is in there. someone correct me if im wrong? I would think fuel in there wouldntbe helping the cooling process.

seems like theres got to be more to it, the tranny would get real hot and spew when towing, i,l try the orings and see what happens, i,l be in touch

Injector cups...

Dont do just the o rings without replaceing the cups or you "SHOULD" replace the o rings again as well...

I just got done doing this, it is NO fun, but not that hard... It took me about 8 hours of work to pull the injectors, cups, new cups, new o rings, change and flush coolant (several times) and install some other parts and pieces...

just cups should take about 5 hours... if you take your time.

I dont have it... I borrowed it from Elkhunter... Its the rotunda tool. About $400 new but he got his on ebay.
