I just got my first f350. Its a dually 4x4 f350. I drive 78 miles one way and 1/4 driving is in the mountains. Im looking for bully dog system to protect my truck and get more power and mpg on highway. It had a bullydog 6 switch in it I think. The chip is gone but the switch is still there.
Is this a good one?

go with edge..i have a buddy with a 99 and 2003 powerstroke and they both have edge juice with attitude and they cant complain a bit...plus edge just came out with the edge cts and cs..the cts is touchscreen and the cs is like the attitude...they are both bad ***..check them out..edgeproducts.com

 

Skip the edge products on a 7.3, they are known tranny killers. Bully dog is ok, but without the switch its all but worthless...

Check out some of the vendors on this site, some sell Elite Diesel Chips, and TS chips...

I run Swamps Diesels Chip and Elite on my truck. I am also going to get some tunes from Power Hungry Performance and Gearhead Performance...

I have run everyones tunes other then the two above.

 

I have to agree with Joe. Stay away from edge or bully dog or anything like that. I have a TS Performance 6 position on my truck and it's awesome and I plan to eventually have swamps tuning put on it. I've noticed that some people don't get as much power and MPGs out of edge products also. Just my .02

 

ok ts chip sounds good. Thats prob what the other guy had the 6 pos **** is black and thats whats there. Ok hows this and is the price good?

Im looking for amonitor to run with the chip unless u recommend guages. I like the fact that itll defuel incase of anything. Pls let me know. Or does the ts monitor everything.

Get some gauges and learn to drive by them. Your right foot controls the EGT's.

Chip, Gauges, intake, exhaust... Your chip will take care of the tranny shifting...

What you think about power hungry performance vs ts chip?

 

TS chips are running boxed tunes from Dennis Perry, Dennis is one of the first few guys to tune these motors and also still builts the chips that anyone tunes on.

The only issue is Dennis has not continued to update his tunes like the other guys have. He has moved on more or less to bigger and better things for him and his busness.

Bill is also one of the first tuners for our trucks, and has continued to update and improve his tunes over the years...

IMHO I would go with the one from PHP...

 

Just to let you know I got a power hungry chip on the way they have great customer service with good custom tunes. Guages on the way too
