You have a 2003, which means you have PMR rods... Powdered Metal Rods. On a stock truck to mild modded truck you are fine, but any more then chip, intake and exhaust and your playing with fire.

What kind of money do you want to spend? Thats the first question...

Keep in mind these general costs...

Tranny, $3500 (you will need it sooner then later)
Turbo, $1500 to $3000
Injectors, $1500-$3000
High Pressure Oil system $1500-$2500
Normal supporting mods, studs, valve springs, gauges, intake exhaust and such...

About $1500 or so...

A mild build like that will put you around 500hp, go bigger and you can be at 650-700...

500hp... Not hard, not easy...

Hybrid injectors for about $2000
Tranny to hold them about $3500
Turbo for the injectors about $2000

There ya go. This is assuming you have gauges and an intake and exhaust...

BUT... with a 2003 you really need to change your rods out.

Joe knows what he speaks. Not much else to add.

Unless you want to get real crazy and put a Cummins in it. Still need the transmission upgrades and probably another 10-15 grand before you're done, depending on how much work you want to do yourself, but your truck will be insane.
