Default what would you suggest..

my truck is basically a stock 99 ford psd and im wondering what you guys would suggest my first upgrade should be performance wise, besides exhaust, i already sort of did that. i was thinking an intake system but i wanted to see what you guys had to say about it.. thanks again

i would say like a good programmer, but a good intake would be nice start. You can go with like an SCT programmer or a TS 6 position chip would be cool to start with

whats the price tag on the programers? and wheres a good place to look for em?

couldnt tell you right off the top of my head, you could do a price request here on the site and our sponsors will take care of you. When you post give them a day or two so they can all see it, some people get antsy and wonder why they dont answer them right away...

But i would say your looking in the 500-800 range for them but i could be wrong

Gauges... First thing you should do is add a set of gauges... Then exhaust, then intake, then a chip of some kind... Avoid programers, you cant really grow with them, there very generic and are slow to change programs...

A chip can go from stock to extream as quick as you can move your finger. You need to also look a a performance valve body for the tranny. They dont take kindly to HP programing.

i actually thought about guages today and realized that they would be the best thing to get first..any certain ones i should look at getting?

autometers, ISSPRO....there is a whole bunch to pick from, I have ISSPRO's in the dodge and like them. Theres a certain Ford guy on here that will probably tell you the same

k so those guages are pretty hard on the wallet...i can afford one..should i get the egt gauge or a different one?
