Default Anyone heard of this?

my buddy was telling me that he took his grill out and drilled like a 1.5, 2" hole infront of the intake collector, its a metal bracket of some sort, and before i do it i want to know if any benifit will come from it. tanks

you can drill a bigger hole then that. alot bigger

its called the ZooDad Mod.

it works well.

just make sure your screen you put on will not let too big of particales pass thru it.

iirc this really only helps in the 03-07 turbos as they intake air thru the front and not the fender like previous SD models

it allows fresh air to enter the air filter at a higher volume. due to 03 and up model trucks equip. with the 6.0 intaking air from the front of the truck.. but it will help some on previous trucks. air just has to pass around the driver side battery to reach the intake.
