well considerin tunes are about 50 dollars a piece id say 150 bucks cuz u wont be able to use his programs he has for his truck. if ur wanting to just get a new one from a shop they run anywhere from 400-550 dependong on who u go with. I'd recommend talkin with Innovative Diesel(Eric), DJ's Diesel Performance, Elite Diesel, or Indirect Injection. Those are the top tuners that i would recommend. i personally got my brother's SCT from DJ's Diesel Performance and couldnt have been happier with the customer service andtheir willingness to be flexible. And their tunes are just plain wicked in my brothers 05 F350.

OK SCRATCH ALL THAT I JUST SAID....YOU CANT USE IT IN THE 7.3 AND GET GOOD RESULTS.

Your better off gettin a chip for that truck, the SCT is best utilized on a 6.0 not a 7.3. For a chip id go with DPtuner or tony wildman.

Yup don't bother with it on a 7.3, a 6 position chip from TS Performance or some of the custom chips would be the way to go.

He had it on his 7.3L. I was going to have DPTuner toss a few of his tunes on it. Thanks for the input

I've seen the SCT Xcal2 work wonders on a 2000 7.3 ...... it was a night and day difference from the superchips..... contact Tony Whetstone of JAWS Racing in Tallahassee Florida. he's the tuner that did that tune for the 2000.... and he did a tune for my expedition that kicked ***..... his contact information is on the main page of www.tallahasseemusclecar.com

The best way to go on a 7.3 is a custom tuned chip. Tuners and downloaders leave much to be desired.
