Default cheapest performance mods for 99 7.3

hello everyone i am new to this site and was wondering if anyone could help me out. i am looking for the cheapest way to make hp with a budget of $1500 to $2000. i have a bone stock down to the paper filter 99 7.3l powerstroke 4x4 auto transmission. mostly highway, town driving but may go to track. all replies appreciated. thanks

intake exaust gauges and ts six pos chip for now... rest as you can afford it...

gauges, intake, exhaust, chip. those are the cheapest ones and willput you close to 2k

ok thanks everyone for the fast reply. i just got 4in straight pipe from the turbo back for starters. sounds nice. for the 6 pos chip would u get custom settings or not? and if so which ones?

I would only run custom tuning. I have stock, high idle, tow, daily, race and extreme I believe

check to see if you have a factory wicked wheel, if not then do that upgrade first! the ts chip allows for many more options than the edge

it does have stock wheel and whats does wicked wheel do and whats it cost? sorry for dumb questions im new to diesels

wicked wheel helps eliminate compressor surge that occurs with elevated hp levels and causes the turbo failure. generation 1 costs about $75 and generation 2 has boost gains 10 psi over gen1 documented and costs $229
