Default project MORE POWER

Well I bought the truck in Aug 99 and took it to my first truck pull in Sep 99. It came clear real fast that my kick *** truck was not that kick ***. First dyno pull I lade down 155hp and 290fttq.
First thing that I did was to cut off the muffler. At least this time is sounds good. Then installed a 99SD intercooler. Then my first chip. After that came the cold air intake.

Then my first real power. Stage 2 injectors. With that I added a HPOP upgrade. Then another chip change. Now this is where I started doing things that no one else was. I added a water to air intercooler.

At this point I was making around 360hp and about 600ft tq. Not to bad with a stock turbo. I knew it was time for more air. I have always wanted parallel turbo. Did some pricing and I figured that I could build a parallel setup for about the same price as a good turbo upgrade kit, (about $3500) This is what I came up with.

The turbos sit right where the shocks go.

Now I have the WTF factor and it works. Put down 450hp and 860fttq with new injectors. Pulled all season last year and the truck pulled great. Now it time for more of that WTF.
I knew that I wanted a new intake system and I wanted it open. And this is what I came up with again.

Now how do I connect the 2 pipes.

Now I can mount my water to air on the engine.

Did not like the rubber boot, so more parts and off to the machine shop.

I had to know at this point, does it fit under the hood. And it does.

Now its time for a new fuel system and a way to connect my water and nitrous to the engine. And here is what that is looking like.

The front engine cover still fits.

Well this brings you up to speed on what is going on with the truck. Will post more as the build go.
And the quest for MORE POWER continues.

Thank you. It has been a lot of fun. The best part is that there is not another truck like it.

After 10 feet of 3/8 and 30 feet of 1/4 steel line. Here is what I came up with. I just have a few more lines to make than it time to do it all over again in stainless. Still have a few items on order.

Mock up is now done. Its time to paint, and to make the lines again is stainless. Here is what it looks like.

When you first look at the engine the cooler on top almost looks like a blower.

It's a good looking engine all around. What turbos did you use?
