Default 37", 35", or stick with 33" tires?

Alright folks, here goes. I currently have Cooper Discoverer ST's on my truck, 285/75/16's. AWESOME tires. I can still hit 18mpg 50/50 city/highway driving, and 20-22mpg highway driving. The ONLY thing I use the truck for is work, highway driving, pulling people out of snow/mud, or for super blizzardy days.

Will putting on 37's maintain my highway economy? I would think so, since they will lower the rpm's at a given highway speed. Or should I up to 35's? Or should I just stick with beefy 33's?

Matt

33's are close to the same size as ur 285's I would run 35" stt ' s I love my 285 coopers and agree the gas mileage is good and overall wear is good.

33's ARE 285's . IF I stay with 33's, I'll be going the 305/70/16 route instead.. and DEFINATELY picking up STT's over the ST's. So you think I should stick with 33's?

35s will not change much and with 6" lift will look much better

Sweet! I used to have a hummer with the inline 5, and people would put 35's on them all day long and still get 18-20mpg highway... I figure my f250 with 3x the torque should also not take a hit in mileage. 35's DO look nasty with the 6" lifts. You dont think 35's will hurt mileage around-town? I'm pretty sure mileage on the highway will be unphased, and I dont think city mileage will hurt any if at all assuming I keep a light foot..

It depends on your gear ratio. 4.10's with 35" are the perfect combo for fuel mileage imo

I'm not too sure what gears I have but I'm prettttty sure they are 4.10's. So you think I'll actually improve mileage a touch with 35's?

I could care less about mileage...

My wifes Ex on 37's gets about 16... all the time.

I get about 12-13...

I dont drive a 9000# lifted truck for the mileage...
