How does smoke mean less power when you cant find one that does 11s and under in the qm that dont smoke the track out is it coincidence or are they just getting lucky cus as some suggest smoke means less but i dont see any non smoking diesals run those times crazy right

Black smoke is just unburned diesel. That means you don't have enough air to burn that extra fuel. So technically it's wasted horsepower and you need more air to take advantage of that horsepower. That's why smoke doesn't necessarily mean horsepower because a properly tuned truck will have relatively closely matched fueling and air capacities which means little smoke because they are taking full advantage of their fueling capabilities with a properly matched turbo or turbos

Completely off topic answer i kno what your saying i wasnt going into why smoke is wasted hp i was stating that smoke has more to do than these people are saying by the fact every cummins or other diesal that ran low times un the quarter mile or even sled pulls smoke its *** off your completely right that its wasted hp but still doesnt explain why the fastest smoke heavily YouTube - Broadcast Yourself. like this 9 second cummins here

Big chargers require lots of fuel to sustain them ( prevent stall) at higher rpms, yet to produce big power that big charger is required so that enough air is available. No one is doubting that big power trucks smoke, but if you throw 200 horse sticks and a edge comp on you vp truck just for smoke your a blooming idiot. Big smoke and big power has its place.... competitions. Its not practical to build a 800 horse truck and street drive it, you can but why would you?
