Default Crazy Idea

Ok guys, I have been thinking about this for awhile. I am thinking people have done the triple turbos. I want to build a 7.3 with twin, compound turbos. thats right 4 turbos. two on each exhaust manifold, and feeding each side of the intake.

I know this is crazy and the fueling system for the 7.3s probably wouldnt be able to take it. which brought me to think of twin P-pumps from a cummins. I dont know how exactly to accomplish this yet, because I dont really know how the injection systems run. I know the engine would have to be built around the design of the pumps but I think this would be an awesome project for someone.

I would really like to do it eventually, after my diesel bronco project gets started and finished.

I just want to know what exactly everyone thinks it would take to actually make it run. I know it would need cummins injectors and the ppumps but what else would need to happen.

oh and the ppumps could be the 12 cylinder cummins from a big rig then I probably would not have to modify the pumps to run alot more fuel. the 2 12 cylinder pumps would put 3x the amount of fuel to each cylinder and hopefully with the right turbo set up run awesome.

This is just a crazy idea I have been thinkin about. Just want some opinions on it.

I believe Wide Open Performance's 7.3L top fuel dragster runs a setup like that.

Yea I know it would be alot of money but how badass would that be. I dont think you would be able to hold on to the steering wheel with all that torque. ha

Since you don't even know the difference between TQ and HP then I don't think you would even know how to do it.

Plus it would be GAY

Um how dont I know what torque is? When you take off, that is torque being applied to the ground. That is what I meant by you wouldnt be able to hold onto the steering wheel. When you went to do a boosted launch with it, God only knows which direction you would actually go when the turbos fully light. So I think I know what torque is there bud. So please dont go making assumptions. Because everyone knows what happens when you assume. Trust me, I know what torque is. I am in school for engineering. I know what torque is in more ways than most people would even want to think of. Im sorry if you didnt understand what I meant in my last post.

On a brighter note, why do you think it would be so gay to have a quad turbo diesel? It just seems to be the next logical step in the development of better diesel performance.

and by the way...nice truck. I like the dark red and black look.

Why do you think it would smoke so much? I mean before the turbos light almost every truck smokes, but when running I dont think it would be getting enough fuel to smoke. Then again I could be wrong. Who knows until someone builds it?
