Default Time to get serious

i Have a 97 f350. I've done the standard things like an intake and chip (truck has 3"downtube and 4" exhaust that was put on by the previous owner i'm open to replacing it) the truck throws a little bit of smoke and i know that it just needs a good tune. I want to add horsepower and keep smoke minimal. i may want to build up to 600hp if possible. i just need a little bit of direction

600 is expensive to do. what are your goals you want for now?

right now i want to to get a new HPOP and work onmy fuel system. from researching and reading threads here i know i'll probably need to upgrade the transmission if i ever do want to get that high on the hp. So i guess for now I'm just looking for places to start. I figure some new injectors and the HPOP and a new fuel system would be a good start but i am no expert and just need a little guidance on whats good whats bad and so on

the easiest is chip, intake and exhaust. that will put you around 220-250 to the wheels. the next thing to do is fuel system, you dont really need an HPOP till you do big enough injectors.

the exhaust and intake is fine. the TS is fine but its a pain when you start doing a custom set up.
