Default 7.3 turbos

after searching forever for a turbo after i over cooked my factory i went with a beans d66.

well after about 4000 miles its starting to whine like a little girl. not wanting to go with a hypermax since i can get just as much air flow with a stock replacement turbo i started searching some more.

heres wat i found, i figured the other obs guys would like to know about these since aftermarket turbos for the obs fords arnt as common as the newer fords and dodges.

pm me if you have any questions on my beans d66.

eBay Store - Ron's Turbo Service 801-842-9186:

he has 4 direct replacment high performance turbos, im going to give him a try. i should be ordering the eBay Motors: 94-97 POWERSTROKE 7.3 TURBO TURBOCHARGER 1.15 (item 180242739305 end time May-20-08 14:19:48 PDT) since its bigger than the d66 i have now

well i spike my egts at 1450, i let my truck pretty much idle down the street so my egts are safe when i turn her off. 1450 shouldnt be that hard on a built turbo. im non intercooled so the egts stay around 800 on the hwy and 1000 on XXX. im looking at the 1.15 cold side turbo from rons, i will have more lag but maybe it will keep my egts down alittle. the beans only has a 1.10 cold side.

Are you sure about a 1.15 cold side? NEVER heard of a 1.15 compressor side... 1.15 exhaust side is whats on the OBS stock...

i, personally, would call beans and tell them what's happening and get a modded H2E from them. after i get the stage 2 nozzles i will be getting a modded H2E for sure. friend on another forum put one in his truck and he loves it. when i blow my turbo up i'm putting my call into beans

I think your D66 is better for performance then that Rons turbo.
