Default Which is better?

So I'm looking into buying an idi truck mainly cause there cheap and I'd much rather run a diesel for towing than a gaser. My question is I already know as soon as I get the truck I want to put a turbo on, my question is out of the three ATS, Banks, and Hypermax Which is easyest to install, which will give me the best performance, and which will allow me to grow more down the road. Right now I'm just looking at a turbo, gauges, new clutch, exhaust, and turned up fuel pump, however later I would like a set of moose injectors, and pump, along with other goodies and dont want to be limited by my turbo system. Also whats the over all difference between Banks wastegated turbo vs. the non, I can find both of them for sale even though I hear theyve both been discountinued? Thanks for the help.

There really isn't much difference between the turbos, they all install in similar fashion and provide the same kind of power. A wastegated turbo has a valve that will release boost pressure at a preset level to prevent you from over boosting and blowing your headgaskets. A non W/G turbo has no valve and tends to spool up a little slower. I do believe the waste gated turbo is better for towing as it will build boost quicker. There is some kind of benefit to a non W/G turbo, but I cant recall what it is. I too have heard numerous times that someone was going to stop making the kits. If they do/are, they will still try to sell out the inventory they have left. The hypermax kits are supposed to be the most affordable right now, about $1800 for a new kit.

Ok well the Banks kit seems the most complete and I can find a kit on ebay for about 2300 bucks, and the hypermax kit seems to need more parts than just what comes with the kit, and the kits are 1925 on there site.

The benefit of the non waste gated turbo is that it's less restrictive and therefore you get lower egts.
