ok im lookin to intercool the 6.9 and suggestion on an intercooler to go with and what size intercooler pipein shoud i use

i used a banks intercooler off of a first gen cummins.....fit really well with not much cutting.....i agree with cowboyford run 2 inch.....i have 2 1/2 and i wish it was 2.....to much boost lag

 

I believe hypremax make an intercooler for your truck, question I have is why, these trucks are such high compression than an intercooler will not give you any real performance gain maybe lowwer EGT #'s but with proper tune and gauges you can do that on your own

 

Hypermax kits are expensive but if you have the monet buy and No you can not lower the egt by yourself with adding boost fuel and power thats why intercoolers come into play.

 

building more than 12 psi put just hot air into the engine. intercooling it will lower boost a little, but will be sending cooler air into the engine than a regular turboed.
