Downpipe?

Default Downpipe?

So i got bored and popped off the stock downpipe and i got about sick when i tore off the heat wrap, it looked like a fish that got stepped on...... anyways would getting a custom bent downpipe help out a little?

ok call me stupid but what exactly is a downpipe? part of exaust of intake? sorry my 18 years old being dumb to this stuff still.

The downpipe is the exhaust pipe that comes down off of the turbo.

o ok got ya i don't have turbo probally why i was not to filimilar with it. but to the original post im sure you can probally make a new one out of some 3' exaust pipeing or flex pipe but be sure to use good quality or it will rust out quick. made that mistake on my tail pipe.

There are aftermarket downpipes. Hypermax and I think ATS has one too.

Sounds like you have the factory ford downpipe that looks like it was run over by a forklift. If you have the money, I think ATS might still sell a kit that will replace the output side of your turbo and allow you to run a 3" mandrel bent down pipe that will really wake the truck up. If money is tight, then you can take the original pipe and have a new pipe fabbed at a shop which will still flow better than the OEM crushed pipe.

put a price qoute section on here and lukes diesel will sell you one for 86 bucks plus shipping i think the total came out to be for me was 114 bucks or somethin

Does any one kno of a 4 inch exhaust that will bolt on to the ats 3 inch down pipe?
