Default Intercooler piping problem

hey everyone i just installed a banks intercooler off a first gen dodge cummins on my 86 6.9 wich was a pain but not that difficult...my problem is running the piping from the intercooler to the intake manifold....the hat or whatever u want to call it that was on the intake from the banks kit i cannot use because of the offset i cannot turn it. does anyone know where ican find a round one or something that will fit the intake and have an outlet on it without hitting the turbo? its pretty close or if there is anyone out there that has put an intercooler on theres with the banks turbo kit ide like to know what you used. i aprecciate all responses thanks guys

That would probably be your best bet, a factory ford/ATS(they are the same) intake hat. They are round and can be positioned any direction you want.

I would say junk yard, but finding one will probily be hard cause ford only made factory turbos for two years till they went electric. Maybe the ford dealership if they have it but my bet outragously price

I'm thinking you are going to have to make one.

Im pretty sure most intake hats for turbo carb cars would fit. Ive been looking at this one from Spectre PN9849 http://www.streetsideauto.com/images...Image/9849.jpg

yeah i thought of that when i started doing all this but the only problem is most of the turbo hats are to tall and will hit my turbo....theres not very much room between the intake whole and my turbo....i may have figured out a way to use the banks one that was on it by turning the outlet of the turbo up and turning the hat as much as it will let me so it may work...i have to finish putting my 5spd in today and then i'll start working on it again.
