Default f550 and idi 7.3

I'm thinking of buying a 1999 f550. truck is in good shape but no engine it had 7.3 power stroke. I have a good 7.3 idi with turbo sitting here. has anyone here know how much of a wireing problem this could be.

the 7.3 idi will be easy to wire, and make run, but depending on the truck and if it is auto or not, fooling a computer to make trans shift and dash work could be a problem. also the elctronic pedal on the f550 will need to be made into a cable operated one.

the truck has standerd 5 speed so that should not be problem but to get the dash to work i'm thinking could be a big problem

also not sure what the computor runs on truck like will the computor sense no fuel going to electronic fuel injectors and shut everything down etc: might be easier to find another powerstroke engine and put in.

yeah if you could i think you'd be better off with the powerstroke motor just for ease of everything, but if time isn't an issue i'm sure you could make it work
